The NECCS Child Care Centre provides a warm, safe and responsive environment where school age children will actively be involved in a variety of play experiences designed to promote their physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.
Our Society
How we Operate
North East Child Care Society was established on November 6th 1975 as a non-profit society. North East Child Care Society is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, which consists of parents, and community members who are interested in quality child care.
Our parents are encouraged to participate on the and become board members. Monthly board/parent meetings are held virtually or in person and parents are encouraged to attend and play and active role in making decisions and determining the quality of care the children receive.

This program understand the importance of face-to-face, daily contact with families and encourages parents to come in and talk with staff. You could also call or email us. The ED is always available through her cell phone as well.
What types of opportunities are there for families to get involved at North East Child Care Society?
Family engagement opportunities are provided to build relationships with families. To support this, our centre plan a variety of events that allow families to connect (i.e. family events, parent volunteers for fundraising ). Families are also encouraged to participate in the program by volunteering in the program/off site excursions or simply sharing special talents or cultural practices.
Families are also invited to attend our monthly Board Meetings and play an active role in making decisions and determining the quality of care the children receive.
